DevOps / Cloud Engineer, Jr.

Role overview

Join Gilytics as a Junior DevOps / Cloud Engineer on the infrastructure team. You’ll work closely with a System Engineer to maintain and enhance the stability, security, and scalability of Pathfinder’s AWS infrastructure, with a clear path to grow into a more senior role.

Responsibilities

• Support configuration, deployment, and management of Pathfinder’s AWS cloud infrastructure
• Help identify and mitigate vulnerabilities across infrastructure and dependencies
• Monitor system logs and alerts to detect and escalate anomalies promptly
• Participate in infrastructure testing and KPI tracking/reporting
• Develop familiarity with systems and runbooks and act as backup during critical incidents
• Collaborate to implement automation and improve operational processes
• Stay current with cloud best practices, security protocols, and emerging technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Coursework in architecture and administration of information systems
• Practical experience with system administration and Linux environments
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, logs, and alerting systems
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a remote work setting
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
