About the role

Role Overview

Runware is hiring a Developer Relations Engineer to be the public face of the company in the developer community—especially through events, hackathons, meetups, and conferences. The role bridges Runware’s AI technology and developers by combining community presence, live technical demos, education, and real-world support.

Responsibilities

Community & Events Leadership
- Represent Runware at meetups, hackathons, conferences, and workshops (Bay Area and beyond)
- Deliver live demos, lightning talks, hands-on sessions, and technical walkthroughs
- Work with Marketing & Events Lead to plan and execute community initiatives
- Publish write-ups, recaps, and topic-driven posts to extend conversations online
- Build and nurture a local AI developer community around Runware
Developer Engagement
- Support developers on Discord, GitHub, X/Twitter, Reddit, and other community channels
- Help developers integrate the Runware API, troubleshoot issues, and explore use cases
- Collect and synthesize developer feedback to inform product and engineering teams
AI Expertise & Demonstrations
- Develop deep understanding of Runware’s AI models (capabilities, limitations, ideal use cases)
- Create demos, prototypes, and example projects demonstrating real-world applications
- Ensure technical accuracy and clarity in public interactions and presentations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product, engineering, and marketing to translate new capabilities into community-ready demos and narratives
- Support product launches via event participation and developer outreach

Requirements

Strong understanding of AI models, especially generative and media-focused systems
Experience engaging developer communities (DevRel, community management, open-source, hackathons, or similar)
Comfortable presenting, demoing, and speaking to technical audiences
Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and accurately
Collaborative mindset and cross-team working style
Ability to work fully remote while attending frequent in-person events
Strong ownership and drive

Nice to Have

Experience organizing or hosting developer events
Startup experience or comfort with fast-moving environments
