Role Overview

Join 1Password’s Insights team as a full-stack or backend-leaning Developer. The team delivers data required for impactful reporting and actionable insights for admins, developers, and automations—working across data streaming, infrastructure, and core services for all 1Password clients.

Responsibilities

• Code, test, debug, deliver, and maintain production software for new and existing features
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth releases
• Work with teammates and the project manager to communicate technical requirements and solve scalable technical problems
• Write comprehensive tests across the development lifecycle and ensure code behaves as expected
• Review code to maintain quality and share knowledge within the team
• Generate and review documentation on code processes to support scalability
• Participate in planning: identify major tasks, break down work, estimate, and plan
• Mentor junior/new team members and support knowledge sharing (including pair programming)
• Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices
• Be available for on-call rotational support to address emergencies and ensure uninterrupted service

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience (Go preferred)
• Experience with a modern backend language such as Go, Node.js, Ruby, or Python
• Demonstrated ability and drive for software development best practices and coding standards
• Ability to solve moderately complex problems and propose effective solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners
• Passion for testing methodologies and debugging techniques to ensure code quality

Bonus Points

• Backend service development in Go
• Frontend development experience in TypeScript
