About the role

Role Overview

Mid-Level Web Developer to provide coverage for a team member on maternity leave and support a lean, collaborative web development team. The focus is on maintaining and improving existing web properties rather than building new platforms from scratch.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs and technical issues
Perform ongoing website maintenance and deliver enhancements
Develop and update web components and features
Support multiple international web properties, including:
- B2B website
- eCommerce website
Address customer-facing issues and help maintain site performance during peak periods
Collaborate with the Senior Developer and Web Marketing team on priorities
Participate in daily standups and sprint planning
Manage assigned tasks independently and provide regular status updates
Proactively identify risks, blockers, and opportunities for improvement

Required Qualifications

4+ years of professional web development experience
Strong experience with:
- PHP, JavaScript, HTML
- React, Tailwind CSS
- Git
- SOAP APIs
Experience working with CMS platforms, preferably:
- CraftCMS, CraftCommerce (or comparable)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Algolia
Experience supporting eCommerce websites
Experience working in Agile / sprint-based environments
