Role Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a contract opportunity with a client in Concord, NC (Remote). The role focuses on building and supporting interoperable healthcare solutions using .NET and FHIR (R4/R5) with HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET applications and RESTful APIs for healthcare interoperability
Implement and manage FHIR R4/R5 resources to support secure clinical and administrative data exchange
Integrate with EHRs and external healthcare systems using HL7, JSON, and XML
Ensure HIPAA, security, and data privacy compliance across all solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally; deliver well-documented solutions
Participate in code reviews and CI/CD processes
Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and contribute to system design/architecture

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
6–8 years hands-on .NET development experience with healthcare applications
Proven experience implementing/supporting FHIR R4 and healthcare interoperability solutions
Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance, secure API development, and EHR integration

Compensation & Benefits

$45–$53/hour (negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)
