About the role
Role Overview
Developer Advocate (Part-time, Remote) at STAR BAZAR. You’ll bridge internal engineering teams and external developer communities by designing, documenting, and promoting APIs, SDKs, and related technical tools for STAR BAZAR’s retail and e-commerce initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Create developer-facing technical content, including:
- Sample applications
- Tutorials
- Reference guides
- Gather feedback from developers and relay insights to product and engineering teams.
- Engage developers through:
- Online forums
- Virtual events
- Webinars
- Help developers integrate STAR BAZAR technology into their solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations to ensure technical messaging is accurate, accessible, and aligned with business goals.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs or web services.
- Proven ability to create technical content (code samples, tutorials, documentation, how-to guides).
- Ability to engage developer communities via forums, Git repositories, chat platforms, and virtual events.
- Familiarity with modern web technologies, cloud platforms, and integration patterns relevant to e-commerce/retail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can explain complex topics clearly.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, part-time setting and collaborating with distributed teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience in developer relations, technical evangelism, or a closely related role.
Education / Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
- Interest in retail or e-commerce technology and a customer-focused mindset.
