Role overview

As Design Director (Architectural Design Director), you will lead architectural design projects focused on hospitality, restaurants, and QSR concepts. You’ll translate brand, operational, and customer experience (CX) inspiration into clear, buildable spatial solutions and oversee design development from concept through presentation.

Responsibilities

Lead projects within the design practice, serving as a design lead on assigned initiatives.
Develop FOH (front-of-house) and BOH (back-of-house) floorplans and related design sets.
Produce high-quality 3D renderings and documentation suitable for client review.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including strategy, culinary, operations, and design.
Contribute original design concepts while incorporating direction from senior leadership and feedback from clients.
Support client-facing engagements for assigned projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, interior design, or a closely related field.
10+ years of professional experience in architectural design.
Portfolio demonstrating hospitality projects from concept through completion.
Experience working directly with clients in a consultancy or in-house environment.
Demonstrated experience managing and/or mentoring a design team.

Nice to have

SketchUp proficiency (including building detailed 3D models and walkthrough presentations).
AutoCAD proficiency for precise BOH/FOH floor plans, elevations, and schedules.
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) for presentation and visual storytelling.
Revit or other BIM platforms.
