Derivative Sales Analyst

Role Overview

As a Derivative Sales Analyst on Coinbase’s Institutional team, you will own and grow relationships with top VIP derivatives traders. You’ll drive volume across futures, options, and perpetuals, sourcing new traders, reactivating dormant accounts, and translating market and client insights into product feedback.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow relationships with Coinbase’s top VIP derivatives traders to increase trading volume and adoption of advanced trading products
• Source and convert new high-value derivatives traders from competitor venues via targeted outbound campaigns and relationship-building
• Monitor derivatives market structure, client flows, and competitor offerings to find upsell opportunities and inform pricing/product feedback for Product, Risk, and Marketing
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast, reporting KPIs such as:
  • volume
  • active traders
  • winbacks
  • competitor migration
• Use CRM tooling to document client interactions and track engagement
• Reactivate dormant top traders using data-driven tools and bespoke incentives to restore sustained volume
• Build/refine AI-powered workflows for:
  • pipeline prioritization
  • client segmentation
  • outreach personalization to scale coverage

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of sales or business development experience in financial services/trading/crypto, with a track record of hitting/exceeding revenue and volume targets
• Demonstrated fluency in derivatives (futures, options, perps) from traditional finance or crypto; experience with a trading desk, brokerage, or exchange preferred
• Data-driven approach using dashboards, CRMs, and basic analytics for segmentation, opportunity identification, and outreach prioritization
• Background in business, finance, economics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience working directly with trading clients)
• Pre-existing network of active institutional derivatives traders is preferred
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality

Location / Work Model

• Remote (remote-first, quarterly in-person “surges”; posting mentions UK-ready)

Compensation

• Target annual base salary range: £90,450–£100,500 GBP (bonus and benefits may apply)
