About the role
Role Overview
The Delivery Manager is accountable for program-level execution of an assigned portfolio. The role owns SDLC and change-request delivery, ensuring financial performance, operational execution, risk mitigation, and strategic success for the Business Unit.
Responsibilities
- Own portfolio execution across the Business Unit: financial performance, operational execution, and strategic success.
- Consolidate and report budget and financial status:
- Weekly budget progression updates
- Monthly leadership reporting
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate financial and operational risks; escalate material risks.
- Drive implementation of change requests, projects, and urgent items to meet committed timelines, coordinating with development teams to remove blockers.
- Serve as a key stakeholder liaison, including customer product owners (CSMs) as a first point of contact.
- Act as an escalation point for customer issues/change requests; track items to closure with regular status updates.
- Maintain portfolio visibility (status, health, risks, milestones, resource usage) and deliver consolidated reporting for leadership prioritization.
- Coordinate delivery from kickoff through deployment in partnership with the PMO; maintain proactive communication across matrixed stakeholders.
- Provide lateral leadership:
- Lead daily coordination and recurring meetings
- Support new-hire onboarding
- Coach junior team members (pairing/feedback)
- Foster ownership, collaboration, operational discipline, and continuous improvement
- Make data-driven delivery decisions using metrics and risk indicators.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, project management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years in delivery management, project/program management, or portfolio coordination (preferably SaaS/technology).
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment (e.g., development, product, customer success, tech ops, sales).
- Experience managing budgets and performing revenue/margin reporting.
- Knowledge of project/portfolio management methodologies, change-request processes, and implementation life cycles.
- Familiarity with project/portfolio tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum within the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical and executive communication skills (executive reporting/briefings).
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience supporting state and local government or other public-sector customers.
- Strong ability to consolidate data, explain variances clearly, and drive stakeholder alignment.
