Delivery Manager

Role Overview

The Delivery Manager is accountable for end-to-end delivery of a small or moderately complex product line or work stream. You will partner with Product Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure delivery plans are clear, progress is transparent, and outcomes are achieved predictably and with quality using Agile and DevOps principles.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to provide delivery insights (capacity, predictability, risk) that inform realistic delivery plans aligned to business goals.
• Maintain delivery alignment by monitoring team commitments and reinforcing focus on intended outcomes.
• Proactively identify and communicate risks/impediments; facilitate resolution and escalate when needed.
• Surface and manage cross-team dependencies early to ensure alignment.
• Provide structured reporting and stakeholder communication on delivery progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Align backlog priorities with delivery capacity by working with Product leadership and driving accountability for results.
• Ensure delivery activities align to SDLC quality, security, and compliance standards through coordination and readiness checks.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements that improve predictability, quality, and engagement.
• Encourage ownership, transparency, and results; facilitate cross-team alignment discussions.

Required / Role Essentials

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience leading delivery in a software/technology environment.
• Agile certification(s) and/or proven experience delivering in Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Lean, and DevOps delivery models.
• Working knowledge of SDLC and compliance processes.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills; strong facilitation and alignment ability with leadership and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical/organizational skills managing scope, dependencies, and timelines.
• Ability to define and refine the release process from planning through software distribution.
• Self-motivated, able to manage delivery to completion with minimal oversight.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery tools like Jira and TFS/Azure DevOps.
• Experience providing structured delivery reporting and stakeholder communication across an organization.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement leadership to increase predictability, quality, and engagement.
• Experience partnering with Product leadership to align backlog priorities with delivery capacity.
