Role Overview
You’ll be a Delivery Manager within Digital Operations in Abercrombie & Fitch Co.’s Digital & Technology organization. The role helps teams translate business priorities into delivery plans, providing program-level planning, coordination, financial/risk management, and delivery expertise across a portfolio of work.
You’ll connect priorities, capacity, dependencies, milestones, and constraints to create an integrated view from discovery through delivery, focusing on flow, predictability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain integrated delivery plans
- Create and maintain feature/initiative plans covering discovery, design, inception, development, testing, and implementation.
- Develop integrated views of priorities, milestones, capacity constraints, cross-team dependencies, assumptions, and delivery risks.
- Coordinate quarterly and ongoing planning across multiple teams; sequence work by business priority and readiness.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Business Analysis, Experience Design, and Scrum Masters to align plans with readiness, capacity, and dependencies.
- Keep plans aligned with team-level execution and broader business strategies.
- Revise plans as priorities, capacity, scope, risks, and dependencies change.
- Use Jira and portfolio-planning tools to maintain transparent delivery progress and commitments.
Improve delivery predictability and flow
- Track progress vs. commitments, milestones, budgets, capacity assumptions, and outcomes.
- Identify emerging risks, bottlenecks, aging dependencies, and capacity conflicts early; forecast impacts.
- Facilitate recovery plans when delivery is at risk (actionable, assigned, time-bound).
- Evaluate tradeoffs across scope, timing, capacity, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Coordinate resolution of cross-team dependencies; escalate issues requiring leadership intervention.
- Use delivery data and team insights to improve forecast accuracy, flow efficiency, and decision speed.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and team leaders to improve the overall delivery system (without owning story-level execution or team-internal coordination).
- Identify ways to reduce unnecessary work, simplify processes, automate manual activities, and improve delivery information usage.
Manage capacity, financials, and external resources
- Maintain consolidated capacity and related planning information (text truncated in the provided posting).
Collaboration
- Works closely with Product Managers, Engineering leaders, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Experience Design, business stakeholders, and other delivery teams.
- Scrum Masters focus more on individual team health/flow; Delivery Managers focus on coordination, sequencing, capacity, financial health, and outcomes across multiple teams/programs.
Requirements
- Not explicitly stated in the provided text.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience delivering program-level plans across multiple teams and portfolios.
- Strong use of delivery data to improve predictability, flow, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with Jira/portfolio planning tools.
