About the role

Role Overview

Join Versa Networks’ Machine Learning team as a Data Scientist working on data-driven projects in Security and Networking. You’ll take models from exploration to deployment while collaborating with engineering and cross-functional partners.

Key Missions

Deliver a wide range of data science projects, from exploratory data analysis (EDA) to building and deploying machine learning models.
Perform EDA to understand dataset characteristics, identify patterns, and communicate insights using data visualization.
Partner with engineering teams to deploy models to production, ensuring scalability and reliability.

Build and evaluate machine learning models
Deploy models into production
Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements

4–5 years of experience in data science (or related)
Strong skills in Python
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools: Pandas/Polars, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques
Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering

Nice to Have

NLP and LLMs
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow or PyTorch
Experience with Go or Rust
Background in threat modeling, detection, or anomaly detection
Distributed training frameworks: RAPIDS, Dask, Ray
Cloud platform experience: AWS, GCP, Azure
MLOps/data versioning: MLflow/ClearML
Cloud-native DevOps/tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform
