Data Scientist

Role Overview

As a Data Scientist at Solace, you will lead high-impact projects that shape strategic decisions. You will build predictive models, strengthen forecasting rigor, run experiments, uncover insights, productionize solutions, and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Missions

• Build and refine predictive models to address critical business problems (e.g., patient attrition prediction and operational volume estimation).
• Develop time-series forecasting to guide capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Design and analyze A/B tests and causal inference studies to measure real product and operational impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive and forecasting models.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments and causal studies.
• Produce deep insights from data and clearly communicate results.
• Productionize ML solutions and ensure they run reliably.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science or a related field.
• Advanced SQL (strong ability to write complex queries, e.g., on Snowflake).
• Strong statistics and math foundation (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, time-series forecasting).
• Hands-on forecasting experience with time-series methods such as ARIMA, Prophet, exponential smoothing.
• Self-starter mindset; comfortable with ambiguity and ownership.
• Awareness of data privacy and best practices for handling PHI/PII.
• Proficiency in Python and common DS libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels, NumPy) with clean, reproducible code.

Nice-to-Haves

• Healthcare experience, including insurance claims data.
• Deployment experience with Docker, Airflow, or MLflow.
• NLP experience on unstructured text data.
• Experience with marketplace matching or ranking systems.
• Comfort working with dbt models and data lineage.
