About the role
Role overview
Join Sardine as a Data Scientist to measure, understand, and improve the performance of our risk strategies. You will work closely with clients on fraud challenges, prototype models, and build scalable solutions using machine learning and graph analytics.
Key missions
- Design and deploy data-driven solutions to improve risk management strategies and help prevent fraud.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their fraud challenges, prototype models quickly, and build scalable solutions.
- Analyze complex datasets, define metrics, build dashboards, and partner with stakeholders to optimize outcomes.
Requirements
- Proficiency defining, tracking, and communicating performance metrics.
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving with a bias toward action.
- 7+ years experience in data science, quantitative modeling, or a data-focused role (e.g., product/business analytics) with demonstrated impact in fraud or risk.
- Hands-on Python/R and SQL (essential); Spark is a plus.
- Ability to structure and analyze complex data using EDA and cohort analysis, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences (including clients).
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Sigma, or Metabase.
Nice to have
- Spark experience.
