About the role
Role Overview
Data Scientist (Contract) — Remote Working 10–40 hrs/week, you will drive data science projects from raw data to actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and preprocess diverse datasets to ensure data integrity and readiness for analysis.
- Develop, validate, and implement statistical models to extract actionable insights from complex data.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
- Create compelling data visualizations and reports and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to design and execute end-to-end data projects (from ideation to delivery).
- Continuously improve analytical methodologies and automate data workflows to enhance data processes.
Requirements
- Strong relevant experience in statistics, mathematics, and data analysis.
- Proven experience collecting, handling, and cleaning large, complex datasets.
- Proficiency in programming for data work and modeling, including Python, R, or similar.
- Strong data modeling skills with experience building and validating predictive models.
- Advanced ability to visualize data using Tableau, Power BI, or related tools/libraries.
