About the role

Role Overview

Data Scientist (Remote) on an hourly contract, working 10–40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and preprocess diverse datasets to ensure analysis-ready data.
Develop, validate, and implement statistical and predictive models to produce actionable insights.
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
Build data visualizations and reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data science projects.
Improve analytical methods and automate data workflows to increase efficiency.
Present findings and recommendations via clear written and verbal communication.

Requirements

Strong expertise in statistics, mathematics, and data analysis.
Proven experience handling, cleaning, and analyzing large, complex datasets.
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar tools for data manipulation and modeling.
Experience building and validating predictive and statistical models.
Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Matplotlib (or similar).
Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Excellent written and verbal communication and strong attention to detail.

Contract & Compensation

Hourly contract
$30–$100/hour (Remote)
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
