Data Scientist (Remote)

Type: Hourly contract
Location: Remote (United States)
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Compensation: $20–$75/hour

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and preprocess diverse datasets to ensure accuracy and analysis readiness
• Develop, validate, and implement statistical and predictive models to produce actionable insights
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities
• Build data visualizations and reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver end-to-end data science projects
• Improve analytical methodologies and automate data workflows to increase efficiency
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly via written and verbal presentations

Requirements

• Strong expertise in statistics, mathematics, and data analysis techniques
• Experience handling, cleaning, and analyzing large/complex datasets
• Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, or similar tools for data manipulation and modeling
• Experience building and validating predictive and statistical models
• Data visualization experience (e.g., Power BI, Matplotlib, or similar)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
