Data Scientist | Remote

Role Overview

Data Scientist (Remote) — full-time, remote commitment of 10–40 hrs/week. Commission-based rate listed as $60–$90 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design realistic data-analysis challenges including:
  • data cleaning
  • method comparison
  • result interpretation
• Author clear, reproducible reference analyses using Jupyter or Colab.
• Build tasks that enable fair comparisons between analytical approaches (including spot checks and recommendations).
• Evaluate model performance on tasks and verify statistical conclusions.
• Collaborate with researchers and experts to ensure consistent and accurate evaluations.

What We’re Looking For

• MSc or PhD in statistics, data science, or another quantitative STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience in research, research-engineering, or data-analysis roles.
• Proficiency in:
  • data cleaning
  • statistical correlation
  • hypothesis testing
  • result interpretation
• Experience with Jupyter Notebooks or Google Colab.
• Working proficiency in Python (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and Git.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings effectively in writing.

Preferred

• Experience with AI training, model evaluation, or benchmark/task authoring.
