Data Scientist, New Grad

Role Overview

Data Scientist (New Grad), SentiLink You’ll build and ship production machine learning models for fraud detection and financial risk. This is an early-career/new PhD role focused on applying ML to real-world identity and fraud use cases, with end-to-end ownership across the ML lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fraud detection models across the full ML lifecycle:
  • data acquisition decisions
  • featurization
  • focusing/using labeling resources
  • model training
  • experimentation
  • productionalization/deployment
  • monitoring and iteration
• Build foundational modeling to support SentiLink’s expanding suite of fraud and financial risk products.
• Work with cross-functional teams to research new fraud types, develop products, and provide analysis that supports sales and marketing.
• Take technical ownership of your domain, producing analysis and insights with high visibility.

• Emerging Products (0-to-1): build new offerings brought to market
• Application Fraud: detect fraud in consumer financial applications
• Identity: resolve identities across massive, conflicting data sources and generate risk models from limited information

Requirements

• Designed for new PhD graduates or early-career researchers interested in applying machine learning to real-world fraud detection.
• Strong technical capability and ownership of modeling domains.
• Interest in end-to-end data science: research, analysis, and production code.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience or interest in production ML at scale and iterative model monitoring.
• Strong domain understanding and critical thinking for fraud/risk problems.
