Data Scientist

Role Overview

Neon One is hiring a Data Scientist to join the foundational data team. This is a greenfield opportunity to architect data models and an intelligence layer that enable AI agents to automate business processes across Neon One’s products.

Responsibilities

• Data Modeling & Architecture
  • Design relational, dimensional, and analytical data models from large, disparate datasets.
  • Extend models into Salesforce Data 360, mapping data objects for downstream analytics and Agentforce AI agents.
• Infrastructure & Pipeline Integration
  • Partner with data engineering and Salesforce architects to define data requirements and ensure pipeline integrity.
  • Operationalize data flows, including zero-copy data federation between Snowflake/AWS and enterprise CRM systems.
• Model Deployment & MLOps
  • Design, build, train, and validate ML models.
  • Package, deploy, and monitor models in production at scale.
• Translate Data into Production Artifacts
  • Convert model outputs into production-ready data products and structured data views.
  • Communicate architecture and modeling decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Deliver Platform Value
  • Build underlying data layers/views that power reports and dashboards.
  • Support insights at both aggregate (e.g., industry trends) and per-customer levels.

Requirements

• 4+ years hands-on experience in data science or data engineering.
• Proven experience developing data models and deploying ML infrastructure in production.
• Proficiency in Python for heavy data manipulation and ETL/ELT.
• Strong AWS SageMaker experience and automated deployment workflows (highly preferred).
• Advanced SQL for complex data manipulation and query optimization.
• Deep knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling (e.g., Kimball), and schema/database design patterns for ML pipelines.
• Highly autonomous self-starter who can manage ambiguity and ownership end-to-end.

Nice to Have

• Direct experience with Salesforce Data 360 and Agentforce integration (implied by role responsibilities).
