Data Scientist, Jr.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Data Scientist (Junior) with strong machine learning expertise to help improve digital marketing strategies and client offerings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand datasets and spot patterns/anomalies.
• Test hypotheses and build machine learning models to solve business problems.
• Engineer, train, evaluate, and optimize ML models for accuracy and performance.
• Design and interpret experiments to generate actionable marketing insights.
• Collaborate with data engineers to enrich datasets and ensure data quality.
• Develop and maintain internal tools using open-source models, including OpenAI-powered systems.
• Work with the BI team and other departments to identify AI/ML opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and support client/stakeholder engagements.
• Monitor model performance over time and implement improvements.
• Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in data science and digital marketing.

Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related).
• Relevant experience in a data science or machine learning role.
• Strong understanding of Probability, Statistics, and Machine Learning.
• Experience developing/deploying ML models; familiarity with AI principles.
• Proficiency in Python with Pandas and Scikit-Learn; visualization with Seaborn and Matplotlib.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code; implement unit tests.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment; enthusiasm for continuous learning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using open-source models and/or building OpenAI-powered systems (mentioned as part of internal tooling).
