About the role

Role Overview

Senior Data Scientist (Contract, ~3 months) — Remote (USA). You’ll join a data science team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, supporting a backfill during a team member’s parental leave. The work is centered on predictive modeling, advanced statistical analysis, and hands-on coding in Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Build predictive models to support audience segmentation strategies
  • Perform advanced statistical analysis including:
    • Regression analysis
    • Decision trees
    • Cluster analysis
    • Factor analysis
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data products and modeling pipelines
  • Create automated workflows for model training, scoring, and deployment
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize machine learning models
  • Translate business problems into analytical solutions and recommendations
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and troubleshoot data issues
  • Support long-term strategic initiatives with data-driven insights

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional data science experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with predictive modeling and machine learning
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets
  • Strong knowledge of clustering/segmentation and modeling techniques such as:
    • Regression
    • Decision Trees
    • Random Forest
    • XGBoost
    • Support Vector Machines (SVM)
  • Experience building production-ready analytical/data science solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Media, Entertainment, Streaming, or Digital Advertising
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
