About the role
Role overview
iConsultera is seeking a Data Scientist to extract insights from complex datasets and build predictive models that support business decisions. This is a fully remote role working with cross-functional teams to solve real-world problems using data, machine learning, and statistics.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to find trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering
- Develop and deploy machine learning models and algorithms
- Build predictive and statistical models to guide decision-making
- Collaborate with engineering/product teams to integrate models into applications
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate results
- Conduct A/B testing and support experiment design
- Monitor model performance and continuously improve accuracy
- Work with structured and unstructured data sources
- Document methodologies, processes, and results
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- 3–6+ years of experience in data science/ML roles
- Strong programming skills in Python or R
- Experience with ML libraries: scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Proficiency in SQL and working with databases
- Strong understanding of statistics and probability
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment
Preferred qualifications
- Big data tools: Spark, Hadoop
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
- Familiarity with MLOps
- Domain experience in fintech, healthcare, or e-commerce
- PhD or advanced degree (for research-heavy work)
