Data Scientist

Role Overview

Help at Home is seeking a Data Scientist to join its Analytics & Data Science team. The role is remote and focuses on predictive modeling, reporting automation, data pipeline development, and supporting AI/LLM-driven initiatives to improve operations and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Develop analysis plans and select appropriate methods/tools for business questions.
• Support AI initiatives, including LLM applications and automation workflows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, BI Analysts, and Data Engineers to define and build datasets.
• Perform statistical analysis on internal and external healthcare datasets (e.g., HIE data and claims; ADTs, CCDs, ORUs).
• Apply statistical rigor, data mining, and machine learning to identify patterns, trends, and associations.
• Conduct population health analytics, including descriptive/inferential stats, correlations, multivariate regression, and predictive modeling.
• Stay current with published research and evidence to align analyses with emerging findings.
• Communicate results to business audiences using effective visualizations and clear explanations of limitations.
• Provide thought leadership by translating business problems into analytical frameworks and recommending actionable insights.
• Contribute to the development/implementation of the Enterprise Analytics team.

Requirements

• Strong skills in analytics, statistics, data modeling, and data management.
• Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
• Working knowledge of R, Python, SPSS, and SQL.
• Familiarity with data science, machine learning, and predictive models.
• Healthcare data analysis experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Snowflake and SageMaker Canvas/Studio.
• Git experience.
• Experience with outcomes research and claims/medical cost analysis.
• Familiarity with AI tools and prompt engineering.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Data Science, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, etc.).
• 3+ years healthcare data analysis experience.
• 1+ year experience with data science, applied statistics, predictive modeling, or ML projects.
