About the role

Role Overview

As a Data Scientist at Evlo AI, you will build, validate, and scale statistical models and machine learning algorithms that inform strategic decisions and product features. You’ll work on high-impact problems such as predictive customer behavior modeling and optimization of internal operations, bridging raw data to actionable intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and deploy predictive models using Python, R, and SQL to solve business challenges and improve performance metrics.
  • Design and run experiments including A/B tests, multivariate experiments, and causal inference studies to measure product impact.
  • Create scalable feature engineering and preprocessing pipelines in collaboration with data platform and engineering teams.
  • Perform deep-dive EDA on high-dimensional datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Implement model monitoring for production systems, tracking performance degradation, data drift, and prediction latency.
  • Communicate results by presenting findings and recommendations to executive leadership using clear visualizations and structured messaging.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of Data Scientist experience, including a track record of deploying statistical/ML models to production.
  • Strong Python skills (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) and advanced SQL for large-scale data.
  • Solid theoretical foundation in statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and regression/classification.
  • Experience with distributed computing (e.g., PySpark or Databricks) and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake or BigQuery).
  • Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, CS, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or related).

Bonus (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with deep learning (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and/or LLM API integrations for unstructured text analysis.
