About the role

Role Overview

You’ll join DataAnnotation as a Data Scientist focused on training AI models by measuring chatbot progress and evaluating their reasoning and output quality.

Responsibilities

Create, write, and edit tasks for AI chatbots
Evaluate AI model outputs for:
- Correctness
- Logic and reasoning quality
- Performance
Use strong data analysis skills to identify issues and improve model quality

Requirements

Fluency in English (native or bilingual)
Detail-oriented approach
Demonstrated proficiency in technical, statistical, and mathematical skills
Applied skills in Statistics and/or Computer Science

Nice to Have

A current, in-progress, or completed Master’s and/or PhD (preferred)

Job Logistics & Pay

Independent contract; full-time or part-time REMOTE
Choose your own projects and work on your own schedule
Paid hourly starting at $40+ USD/hour, with bonuses for high-quality and high-volume work
Payment via PayPal; US applicants only
