Data Scientist, Data & Analytics (India, Remote)

Role Overview

WCG is hiring a Data Scientist (Data & Analytics) to build analytics-driven solutions that optimize end-to-end clinical trial processes. You’ll work with the Data & Analytics engineering team and clinical trial experts to design and implement machine learning capabilities using structured and unstructured data, including generative AI-based approaches.

Responsibilities

• Discover insights from large volumes of data (open source, licensed, and proprietary) to support smarter decision-making.
• Use data mining and statistical analysis to build high-quality prediction systems integrated with existing/future products.
• Select and engineer features; build and optimize classifiers using machine learning.
• Improve data collection to ensure analytics-relevant information is captured.
• Process, cleanse, and verify data integrity for analysis.
• Partner with engineering to operationalize analytics processes.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results clearly.
• Support operational data analysis for strategy and planning.
• Forecast/model clinical trial operational outcomes with guidance from internal clinical operational experts.
• Synthesize multiple information sources to solve analytics and delivery problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on assigned projects.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience applying data mining, statistical analysis, and machine learning to build predictive systems.
• Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data.
• Strong data hygiene skills: data processing, cleansing, and integrity verification.
• Demonstrated ability to present analysis and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience leveraging generative AI tools, libraries, and latest developments to deliver business solutions in a regulated/clinical domain.
• Experience supporting stakeholders with modeling and forecasting for evidence-based strategies.
