About the role

Role Overview

Lead AI-powered decision-making by building and deploying machine learning and GenAI models that support the business strategy and measurable outcomes. Join the centralized Data Science team and collaborate with senior data scientists, ML engineers, and stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

Build and deploy AI/ML models with general guidance.
Act as a liaison between Data Science and ML Engineers, managing AI/ML model deployments.
Test and validate models to ensure efficacy and compliance prior to deployment.
Work with ML Engineers to deploy models and verify system performance; monitor and adjust models post-deployment.
Contribute to data preparation and feature/model readiness (data input with guidance).
Identify data anomalies and data/operational issues requiring analytics, data scrubbing, and modeling techniques.
Produce and present modeling results via presentations to internal/external stakeholders and management.
Tackle loosely defined problems using creative approaches.
Document and communicate assumptions, results, and alternatives; explain advanced analytics in plain language.
Create and maintain modeling best practices and contribute to new techniques with partners.
Perform technical peer reviews as needed and maintain strong written/oral business communication.

Required Skills

Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, or similar, plus general programming and SQL.
Experience building and deploying statistical and machine learning models for business challenges.
Strong data wrangling, data quality evaluation, transformation, and cleaning.
Experience with AI/ML model testing, validation, deployment, and integration into CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with MLflow (model experimentation/registration).
Git for version control.

Nice-to-haves

Experience working with GenAI models and AI/ML governance/compliance in production environments.
Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate analytics concepts for non-technical audiences.
