About the role
Role overview
Data Scientist (Data Scientist 5) focused on evolving core member metrics and decision frameworks in a Hospitality & Recreation environment. You will lead initiatives at the intersection of scalable technology, AI/ML, and business transformation, partnering across engineering, product, and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead R&D for core member metrics and decision frameworks
- Partner with product, engineering, and data science teams to navigate complex tradeoffs
- Incubate new research methodologies with machine learning partners to improve proxy metric solutions
- Advance meta-analysis capabilities and collaborate on causal inference tooling
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience with causal and/or machine learning models with demonstrable impact
- Strong statistical knowledge in experimentation and/or product analytics
- Proficient quantitative programming (Python preferred) with production system experience
- Excellent communication skills (technical writing and high-level summaries)
- Ability to balance stakeholder needs with scalable solutions and manage independent projects
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building or improving causal inference toolchains and proxy metrics
- Demonstrated influence on architecture, execution quality, and long-term innovation
Location & compensation
- Remote (US-based candidates only); no visa sponsorship
- Compensation: $372,000 – $600,000 annually
