Data Science Intern

Role Overview

Data Science Intern for a solutions-driven data science team, working remotely with US/EU overlapping hours. The intern will help design and deliver data-driven solutions to real business problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing data-driven solutions for business problems
• Work with structured and unstructured data for cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis
• Build and evaluate machine learning models under guidance from senior data scientists
• Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and present actionable insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business stakeholders)
• Contribute to data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools
• Document workflows, methodologies, and findings

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• Strong foundation in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals (regression, classification, clustering)
• Data visualization experience (Matplotlib, Seaborn, or similar)
• Familiarity with SQL and working with databases
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work remotely in US/EU time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of real-world applications (recommendation systems, NLP, forecasting)
• Prior internship or project experience in data science/analytics
• Familiarity with version control (Git)
