Role: Data QA Engineer (Mortgage & Finance)

Remote (PST) • Contract

Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end testing of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting solutions.
Validate and reconcile financial data across fixed income and other instruments (Bonds, MBS, ABS, mortgage loans, equities, derivatives).
Develop and execute test cases and test plans, including automated validation frameworks.
Ensure data quality: accuracy, completeness, and consistency across enterprise data platforms.
Support release validation, regression testing, and production issue analysis.
Use Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and release coordination.
Verify compliance with financial reporting, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Matillion, and Azure DevOps.
Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT testing, and data reconciliation.
Domain knowledge of financial products (Bonds, MBS, ABS, mortgage loans, equities, derivatives).
Experience validating financial reports and regulatory data outputs.
Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments (two-week sprint cycles).

Experience testing enterprise solutions in financial services and supporting audit-ready validation.
