Data Platform and Security Engineer 100% Remote

Role overview

Data Platform and Security Engineer (100% Remote) focused on hardening client data platforms and the surrounding code/environment against AI-driven attacks. You will prevent vulnerabilities early ("shift-left" security), embed controls into data platform workflows, and accelerate vulnerability remediation using AI-assisted approaches.

Responsibilities

• Harden client data platforms and code environments against AI-driven threats.
• Apply shift-left security by embedding security controls earlier in the data platform lifecycle.
• Identify issues early to prevent them from reaching production.
• Accelerate vulnerability remediation at high velocity/volume using AI-enabled workflows.
• Improve throughput for fixing vulnerabilities across cloud infrastructure and applications.

Required qualifications

• Strong AWS security and automation expertise, including:
  • IAM
  • AWS Secrets Manager
  • KMS
  • Service Control Policies (SCPs)
• Experience with infrastructure automation and serverless frameworks, including:
  • CloudFormation
  • Lambda
  • Step Functions
• Security and vulnerability management experience with tools such as:
  • SAST
  • Snyk
  • EchoAI
  • AI-assisted penetration testing tools
• Proven ability to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across applications and cloud infrastructure.

Specific experience / domain requirements

• Data sharing / platform integration: Snowflake and enterprise file transfer solutions.
• File transfer: SFTP and AWS Transfer Family (nice to have).
• Data sync / storage integrations: AWS Storage Gateway.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon Transfer Family
