Role overview
Vertex Agility is hiring a Data & Intelligence Engineer to build core systems that transform raw enterprise data into structured, reliable intelligence. The role sits at the intersection of Data Engineering, LLMs, and Knowledge Systems, helping convert messy and unstructured data into clean, queryable insights.
Responsibilities
- Build data ingestion pipelines across enterprise systems (e.g., email, Slack, calendars, CRM)
- Design LLM-powered structured extraction workflows
- Create systems that turn unstructured signals into structured knowledge
- Use vector databases and knowledge graphs to connect signals across sources
- Improve data quality, confidence scoring, and extraction accuracy
- Instrument LLM pipelines for cost, performance, and quality monitoring
Requirements
- Strong Python skills and experience building production data pipelines
- Hands-on experience using LLMs for structured extraction or data workflows
- Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)
- Familiarity with graph databases / knowledge graphs
- Strong intuition for data quality and measurable extraction accuracy
Nice to haves
- Experience working with multiple enterprise data sources and integrating them into knowledge systems
