Data-Focused Full Stack Engineer

Role overview

Join UJET’s Data and AI engineering organization as a Data-Focused Full Stack Engineer. You’ll work across full-stack product engineering, data systems, and AI-enabled customer experience to build reliable, customer-facing systems.

Key missions

• Build and maintain full-stack product features that use data and AI to improve the experience for customers, agents, supervisors, and administrators.
• Develop backend services, APIs, workflows, and integrations connecting product systems to data and AI capabilities.
• Partner with AI, data platform, product, QA, and engineering teams to design and deliver reliable, client-oriented systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end features across multiple layers of the stack.
• Build and operate backend services/APIs and data-driven application features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship production-ready systems.

Requirements

• Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: testing, version control, code review, debugging, and maintainable design.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Ability to work across the stack and quickly learn unfamiliar technologies.
• Experience with event-driven systems, workflow engines, queues, or distributed systems.
• Strong production experience with Python.
• At least 3+ years of professional software engineering.
• Clear written and verbal communication, especially in a distributed environment.

Nice-to-haves / Interest areas

• Interest/experience building systems supporting AI/ML, LLMs, virtual agents, agent assist, conversation intelligence, or automation.
• Experience with data systems: pipelines, analytics workflows, or data-intensive applications.
• Google Cloud Platform experience.
• Domain experience with contact center/CRM/customer support/messaging/telephony systems.
• Experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails.
