Join our team as a Data Engineering Lead, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality customer data pipelines while leading a squad of Data Engineers. You'll be responsible for end-to-end delivery, project management, data quality, and timelines. This is a hybrid role that combines hands-on development with leadership responsibilities. Key missions: Lead a squad of Data Engineers to deliver high-quality customer data pipelines while maintaining existing ones.. Own end-to-end delivery including project management, data quality, and timelines, and be accountable for both team output and individual contributions.. Collaborate with the Implementation team and Data Analyst to review and own DE requirement writeups, ensuring they fully address data needs. Profile: - This role requires consistently high standards in both coding and execution - Demonstrated success building production-grade dbt pipelines (macros, incremental and Python models, and testing) - Proven ability to lead a small team (up to 3 engineers) - Hands-on proficiency with modern data technologies and comfort leveraging AI coding assistants to accelerate development, improve code quality, and enhance productivity - 6+ years working with data in production environments - Deep, demonstrable understanding of healthcare and healthcare claims data - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Comfort working with large-scale datasets (10GB+) - Strong skills in data processing, validation, cleaning, and debugging across complex datasets - Track record of building automated ETL workflows using Python and dbt SQL - Hands-on knowledge of Snowflake - Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, Batch, and Step Functions - Strong data modeling skills for reporting and business intelligence solutions
