Role Overview

As a Data Engineer at Stitch Fix, you will build scalable additions to the company’s data engineering framework. You’ll help centralize ETL logic and metric definitions and design infrastructure that solves business and data challenges.

Generate ideas and help direct the team’s investment toward impactful, data-driven work
Work on a team with high organizational visibility

Requirements

Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
2+ years of experience in data engineering (or closely related), with strong data modeling and data job development
Familiarity with technologies to access an S3 data warehouse, including:
- Spark
- dbt
- Fivetran
- Airflow
Experience with AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to streamline tasks like testing and problem-solving
Ability to document prompts and learnings to build scalable, repeatable workflows
Cross-functional partnership and stakeholder input gathering
Production-level coding experience in Python and SQL
Proactive communication and comfort addressing complex problems
