Data Engineer

Role Overview

Robert Half is seeking a Data & Power Platform Engineer for a 100% remote contract initially for 6 months with a high likelihood of extension. You will support and enhance a sustainability data ecosystem powering enterprise reporting and analytics, combining data engineering, Power Platform development, Azure SQL, and systems integration.

What You’ll Do

• Enhance and support an Environmental Sustainability Data Portal built in Power Apps
• Build and maintain data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines and transformations
• Manage Azure SQL databases, including reporting views and data models
• Validate, standardize, and reconcile data from multiple business groups
• Support master data management, including site and property mappings
• Design integrations across enterprise systems, APIs, and data platforms
• Participate in UAT, defect resolution, deployments, and production support
• Translate business reporting requirements into technical solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, or modern data pipelines
• Strong Power Apps / Power Platform development skills
• Expertise in Azure SQL development, administration, and performance tuning
• ETL/ELT pipeline design and data ingestion experience
• API and systems integration expertise, supporting Azure-hosted applications
• Understanding of semantic models, reporting layers, and analytics solutions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders
• Data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and master data management experience
• Reporting model and semantic-layer experience

Contract Details

• 100% remote
• 6-month initial contract, likely to extend
• Salary range: $80/hr – $100/hr (contract/temporary)
