Role overview

Data Engineer (Hourly contract, remote) working on data pipelines that support AI agent training initiatives. You’ll collaborate with AI/ML engineers to ensure reliable, high-quality datasets and efficient data flow.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage data pipelines for AI agent training
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deliver high-quality datasets
• Build and maintain scalable ETL processes using Python and relational databases
• Integrate diverse data sources to support seamless data exchange
• Apply data engineering practices to help optimize AI model performance
• Document data workflows and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders
• Troubleshoot data issues and ensure data integrity and reliability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong experience as a Data Engineer with exposure to AI/ML projects
• Advanced proficiency in:
  • Python
  • MySQL
  • PostgreSQL
  • Java
  • JavaScript
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and data preparation for model training
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build scalable data pipelines and architectures
• Self-motivated; able to work effectively in a remote environment

Contract details

• Type: Hourly contract
• Location: Remote (United States)
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
• Compensation: $50–$120/hour
