Data Engineer (remote)

Role Overview

Data Engineer (Remote) at Claritev. You’ll help design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouse assets to support reporting, analytics, and predictive/prescriptive modeling—while ensuring healthcare compliance.

Responsibilities

• Understand business processes and how they are modeled across enterprise systems.
• Partner with business users, engineering teams, and executives to define data needs and deliver solutions.
• Implement data structures, workflows, and integrations between enterprise platforms.
• Maintain scalable data pipelines as data volume and complexity grow.
• Apply data integration/engineering best practices for current and future data infrastructure.
• Improve database and query performance (including tools and solutions).
• Build and maintain data warehouse/database objects, tables, SQL queries, and ingestion pipelines.
• Transform raw data into reusable, accessible data models via complex SQL.
• Prepare datasets for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
• Identify and analyze data patterns; improve reliability, efficiency, and data quality.
• Collaborate with analytics/data science and engineering teams to automate analysis and visualization.
• Advise on transformation processes and help design/develop data infrastructure.
• Coordinate across disciplines and departments; communicate effectively.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and requirements related to sensitive data (PHI).
