About the role

Role Overview

Work as a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data infrastructure supporting analytics, business intelligence, and operational decision-making. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data movement, transformation, and governance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for integration, transformation, and storage
Build and optimize data warehouses, databases, and data models for reporting and BI
Collaborate with stakeholders (IT, analytics, product, business) to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Monitor and troubleshoot production data workflows to ensure high availability, integrity, and performance
Implement data governance and security (compliance, access controls, encryption, data quality standards)
Conduct data analysis to support operational and strategic decisions
Stay current with industry trends and recommend improvements
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical experience)
3+ years in data engineering, ETL development, or data management
Strong SQL and database expertise (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Experience with data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and scalable distributed systems
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail
Excellent collaboration and communication in fast-paced cross-functional environments

Nice to Have

Experience with workflow orchestration/pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory)
Knowledge of data governance/security/compliance in regulated domains (e.g., healthcare)
