About the role
Role Overview
You’ll join a dynamic team as a Data Engineer / Data Analyst (Data Engineer II), owning end-to-end data projects—from raw data ingestion through to actionable insights delivered via dashboards and automated reports.
You’ll work cross-functionally with operations, revenue cycle, marketing, sales, provider success, and product teams across the US and UK, influencing decisions around operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize dbt models to transform raw source data into reliable analytical assets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into clear analytical data solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy Tableau dashboards and automated reports to replace manual reporting.
- Identify data coverage gaps and develop pipelines/model new data sources (independently or with engineering).
- Ensure data quality and integrity using tests, anomaly monitoring, and documentation.
- Contribute to analytical infrastructure (e.g., macros, source definitions, CI/CD practices).
- Participate in data projects such as pipeline development, feature engineering, and predictive modeling.
- Automate recurring manual reporting to improve operational efficiency.
- Build a strong understanding of business operations and KPIs within 90 days.
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
- Hands-on experience with dbt (or SQLMesh) for data transformation.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake (or BigQuery).
- Proficiency with BI tools, especially Tableau (also mentioned: Metabase, Sigma, Omni).
- Knowledge of data ingestion pipelines and scripting with Python and pandas.
- Understanding of data modeling, testing, and documentation best practices.
- Ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions.
- Experience scoping and delivering work with non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CI/CD in data transformation workflows.
- AI-native mindset, including experience building or prototyping AI/ML solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
