About the role

Role Overview

You will design, build, and maintain scalable data systems that convert raw data into reliable, usable assets for analytics, reporting, automation, and business intelligence.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT data pipelines
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models
Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources
Build data workflows for reporting, analytics, dashboards, and operational systems
Clean, validate, transform, and organize large datasets
Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability
Collaborate with analysts, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders
Support data warehouse and data lake architecture
Ensure data quality, accuracy, security, and consistency
Document data flows, schemas, processes, and technical decisions
Improve automation, scalability, and efficiency across data systems

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer / BI Engineer (or similar)
Strong SQL skills with experience on large datasets
Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, or similar
Experience with Python and/or PySpark (or another data processing language)
Understanding of data modeling, data quality, and database design
Experience with APIs, flat files, databases, and third-party data sources
Ability to troubleshoot data issues and optimize pipeline performance
Strong communication skills; able to work with technical and non-technical teams
Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

Cloud experience: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Orchestration tools: Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar
dbt or modern analytics engineering workflows
BI tools: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
Experience with analytics data for marketing, advertising, finance, SaaS, or customer analytics
