Data Engineer (Contract)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for data integration and transformation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and implement tailored solutions
• Optimize existing workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production data pipelines to ensure data integrity
• Write clean, well-documented Python following industry best practices
• Implement data quality practices and validation mechanisms throughout data processes

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Python
• Extensive hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data workflows
• Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills focused on clarity and collaboration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with close attention to detail
• Expertise in debugging and optimizing large-scale data systems

Compensation

• $30–$90/hour (contract)
