About the role
Role Overview
Entry-level Data Developer building the data backbone of Stabilify’s solutions—pipelines, models, and transformations in Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake using Python and SQL. You’ll learn modern ETL/ELT practices on real client engagements alongside senior engineers and implementation leads.
Responsibilities
Data Engineering
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Snowflake
- Write clean, well-tested Python and SQL for ingestion, transformation, and validation
- Contribute to data models and warehouse structures supporting reporting/analytics for child welfare agencies
- Help monitor data quality and troubleshoot pipeline issues
Azure Development
- Develop Azure Functions and Container Apps (primarily Python) for ingestion, integration, and scheduled processing
- Add logging/monitoring using Application Insights and Datadog
- Support deployment and ongoing operations as part of the data solution
Power Platform Familiarity
- Understand how Dataverse, Power Apps, and Power BI consume your data
- Support integrations and datasets used by the application team
Client Engagement & Delivery
- Present work to client stakeholders, explaining what was built and why
- Help scope features and estimate work with senior team members
- Participate in agile ceremonies with internal teams and clients
Responsible and Strategic Use of AI
- Use AI tools intentionally to accelerate development, documentation, testing, and research
- Maintain accountability for what you ship
- Ensure sensitive data (case/client data) is never exposed to unapproved tools and keep a human-in-the-loop for decisions affecting children and families
Requirements
- Entry-level focus on aptitude, curiosity, and fundamentals
- Strong ability to write SQL (queries, joins, transformations)
- Ability to write and reason about Python code and understand core ETL/ELT concepts
- Fundamentals with modern data platforms like Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake (or ability to learn quickly)
- Clear professional communication with clients and teammates, including presenting your work
- Take feedback well, ask good questions, learn quickly on a small agile team
- Professional discretion handling sensitive subject matter
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of JavaScript, C#, Java, or Scala
- Exposure to Power Apps, Power Automate, or Power BI
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, CI/CD, or Infrastructure as Code
- Interest in child welfare / human services
