About the role
Role Overview
As a Data & Analytics Engineer at MojoTech, you’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and clients to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality data solutions. You’ll lead discussions to define data requirements, build data pipelines, and provide actionable insights to support client analytics needs.
Responsibilities
- Define data requirements with cross-functional partners and clients
- Build and deliver data pipelines and actionable insights
- Develop and optimize scalable data solutions and large-scale data initiatives
- Implement and maintain data warehouses and/or real-time analytics systems
- Apply best practices for data management, including governance, sustainment, and compliance
- Ensure data quality and security standards are met
- Share knowledge and continuously improve engineering practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Science / Data Warehousing
- Strong experience building with Python
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, or real-time analytics
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Track record of developing and optimizing scalable data systems
Desired Skills / Nice to Have
- Experience developing solutions using LLMs (e.g., RAG, agents)
- Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, or Flink
- Data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Machine learning/statistical analysis experience (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) for predictive analytics
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding DevOps, including CI/CD and Git
- Real-time streaming / event-driven architectures
- Experience with platforms such as Palantir, Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Airflow, AWS Redshift/Glue, Google BigQuery/Dataflow
- Leadership/mentorship experience
- Agency/consulting experience tailoring solutions to client needs
- Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Working Model & Location
- Flexible model: remote, on-site (Boulder, CO / Providence, RI), or hybrid
- Remote role requires you to be located in: RI, CO, AZ, CT, FL, MA, MD, ME, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, SC, TN, UT
- Preference for candidates within commuting distance of Boulder, CO or Providence, RI
Benefits
- Base salary: $90,000 - $150,000
