Data Analytics Engineer

Role Overview

Data Analytics Engineer reporting into the Data Engineering Manager. You’ll help build the company’s data warehouse and expand analytics capabilities by translating cross-functional stakeholder needs into reliable datasets and Tableau reporting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders across the business (Finance, Retail Sales, Ecommerce, Customer Service) to document and understand data/analytics requirements.
• Build and maintain ETL solutions and data integrations to load data from multiple platforms into the company’s PostgreSQL database.
• Design and evolve data models in the data warehouse to support reporting requests.
• Optimize PostgreSQL performance by implementing efficient data structures.
• Create automated data pipelines to reduce manual processes across business areas.
• Build and publish Tableau data sources as a central source of truth.
• Create new Tableau reports and maintain/upate existing reports for stakeholders.
• Work with the BI Strategy team to ensure data and reporting accuracy for Tableau dashboards and ad-hoc analysis.
• Build and maintain monitoring/alerting for the Direct Response Television (DRTV) Order API.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Data Analytics Engineer (or similar).
• Proficient in SQL and experienced with relational database architecture.
• Strong data visualization tool skills, preferably Tableau (Looker also acceptable).
• Experience with ETL and data integration.
• Ability to present technical analyses to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to extract, analyze, and model relevant data from multiple sources.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Developer experience with JavaScript, Python, and HTML.
• Experience analyzing ERP financial and eCommerce data in a CPG environment.
