Role Overview

Data Analyst, Sr. (Payment Analytics) — Contractor You will support a client’s payments business by analyzing performance across Credit Card, Gift Card, and Alternative Payments programs. The role is fast-paced and highly visible, partnering across teams and informing strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth analytics for payment programs (Credit Card, Gift Card, Alternative Payments)
Build and maintain KPI dashboards and reports to monitor program performance
Perform forecasting and trend analysis to guide decision-making
Run post-promotional assessments to evaluate promotional effectiveness
Develop and optimize Tableau dashboards for multiple stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and product management
Identify opportunities to improve and automate data reporting
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across analytics initiatives
Present insights and recommendations to senior management

Requirements

Proven data analysis experience, ideally in payments, e-commerce, or related domains
Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
Experience with Tableau (or similar visualization tools)
Ability to interpret data and translate results into clear, actionable insights
Familiarity with KPIs, forecasting, and post-promo analysis
Proven ability to handle large datasets and complex data structures
Strong storytelling/communication skills for stakeholder presentations
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
Cross-functional collaboration and communication
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or similar)

Nice to Have

Experience with automation/process improvement for reporting workflows
