About the role
Role Overview
Senior Health Equity Analyst / Data Intelligence Analyst supporting enterprise data intelligence initiatives at a healthcare organization. You will translate business needs into technical data solutions by partnering with end users, developing reporting assets, and performing advanced analytics to drive healthcare and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze end-user business requirements; translate them into technical specifications for reports and data solutions
- Develop, test, and maintain complex SQL queries, reports, dashboards, and datasets for clinical, operational, and strategic initiatives
- Perform deep data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that improve patient outcomes
- Support process re-engineering: map workflows, identify gaps, and recommend improvements aligned with organizational goals
- Lead process/requirements analysis including stakeholder analysis, process mapping, and documentation of current/future states
- Act as primary liaison with external vendors for support, issue resolution, and project collaboration
- Provide QA leadership for data solution testing and validation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage testing efforts, including integrated testing and defect tracking
- Support strategic discussions by analyzing options, risks, and benefits using data-driven insights
- Ensure adherence to change control processes (as applicable)
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with SQL and proficiency with query/reporting tools (e.g., Python, R, Oracle, SAS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Microsoft SQL, Tableau)
- Experience developing Epic Inpatient Clarity reports and performing reporting analysis
- Hands-on experience with data analysis, custom report development, and data warehousing
- Familiarity with databases and systems used in patient care and hospital administrative/workflow environments
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as Reporting Workbench and Radar build requests
- Understanding of healthcare applications, clinical workflows, and provider priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related quantitative field
Nice to Have
- Epic Clarity certification (preferred) and Epic Inpatient certification (highly desirable)
- SQL Server certification (plus)
