Data Analyst/Scientist (Remote)

Role Overview

The Data Analyst/Scientist will provide distributed analytical support across remote and on-site teams for an Information Technology Support Services project. The role transforms complex datasets into actionable insights to support mission-critical operations readiness and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze data
• Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques
• Build dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI
• Communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (remote and on-site)
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and methodologies

Requirements

• Strong understanding of statistics, data methodologies, and business operations
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and Excel
• Experience with data modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning
• Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
• Knowledge of hypothesis testing, regression, and time series analysis
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to work independently remotely

Education & Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
• Master’s degree preferred (not required)
• Certifications such as Power BI, Tableau, or SAS

Additional Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain required security clearance
• Ability/willingness to travel (approximately 5–20% travel)
