About the role
Role Overview
Data Analyst Consultant specializing in industrial projects within the energy sector. You will work on data-driven initiatives to optimize plant operations, improve process efficiency, and support continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare data by extracting information from PLC, SCADA, and MES systems, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Analyze and model operational data using descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics to find trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Build dashboards, KPIs, and reports to visualize insights for engineering and operations teams.
- Support continuous improvement by tracking KPIs such as OEE, yield, and downtime, and contributing to root cause analysis, Lean, and Six Sigma projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and operators to deploy analytics solutions, pilot tools, and integrate analytics into operational workflows.
- Maintain documentation of analytics processes, models, and findings, aligned with data governance and cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
- 4+ years of industrial analytics experience in manufacturing/production/operations environments.
- Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
- Data visualization experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana.
- Strong statistical foundation including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication skills to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree.
- Experience with IoT, cloud analytics, big data tools.
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma.
- Experience with ERP or PLM systems.
